This year marks the 20th anniversary of the UK Coaching Awards.  Our Head Coach Michelle Weltman has been selected as one of the 3 finalists for the Disability Coach of the Year award.

As well as coaching at Out To Swim, Michelle is also the Head Coach of the London Disability Swim Club which produced many Paralympians. Elaine and Dervis were both Michelle's swimmers who started in the learn to swim programme.  Some years of hard work under Michelle's guidance, they both medalled at Rio Paralympics.  Michelle is also a teacher and mentor to other coaches and an expert advisor on disability and inclusivity in sports. 

Away from the water, Michelle looks after elite wheelchair athletes at "The Majors" such as London Marathon, Chicago Marathon, and most recently NYC marathon where many world champions were crowned.

Winner of the UK Coaching Awards will be announced at the awards ceremony on the 30 November.
