Out to Swim sent 23 swimmers to Amsterdam to take part in the Upstream Valentines meet this month. We were met by swimmers from all over Europe; Copenhagen, Paris, Prague, Madrid, Brussels and Stockholm to name a few.

What was really exciting this time was to see so many from our development squad taking part in their first ever competition. There were nerves before the first set of relays but our 'more experienced' swimmers were there on poolside to make sure everyone was in the right place. In the end, every swimmer left with at least one medal which is an amazing achievement given the mix of ages and abilities we had.

The closing party was really well done with dinner, drag shows and dancing. The next morning we all managed to scramble together for brunch and a tour of the town hosted by the Amsterdam swim team.
