British Longcourse National Championships 2019 – Swansea
We took 19 of our OTS Family to rainy Wales for the British Longcourse National Champs in June. It was a hugely successful meet for our Team, achieving lots of individual AND relay medals. There were some absolutely incredible swims and the atmosphere was electric. We were by far the loudest team (as usual), with other teams commenting on how much we support each other.
20 Individual Medals:
Gold 1
Silver 8
Bronze 11
5 Relay Medals:
Gold 4
Silver 1
Matt W missed one of his races for the first time in his life, but it’s okay because he already had 4 silvers and a bronze medal.
This meant that Christopher “Secret Weapon” P swam the most swims with 7 individual races (where he won 2 bronzes), including an 800, 400 and 2x200s.
Stephen L is the new Men’s [age redacted] LC British Masters Champion for his unbelievable 50m Freestyle (26.10).
Thanks to everyone for their amazing performances both in and out of the pool. I hope to see even more of you for the next nationals – English Shortcourse Nationals in Sheffield (Oct 25-27).
Everybody say love,
Paul
