Aquatics for All

Membership - Brighton & Hove

We offer a range of memberships to suit your needs. Below are the prices for 2025.

Training

Pay as you go is £9.45 per session.

Part-time membership is £28.35 monthly, 1 session per week (equivalent price to 3 swims pay as you go).

Full membership is £51.45 monthly, with unlimited sessions (equivalent to 5.5 pay-as-you-go swims).

We hold free trials every Saturday. To join our training sessions, please complete this form or email our membership secretaries (Kirstin & Timothy) here to get started.

We currently operate on a capability basis for Monday and Thursday sessions, assessed by the lead coach on a case-by-case basis. Swimmers requiring further development will be asked to swim on Saturdays where we have a dedicated coach focused on swimmer development. This will give the best experience for all.

Swimming at Sealanes and officially coached sea swimming are not covered as part of the standard membership fees and these incur a cost extra to the membership, indicated when you register for these.

Learn to swim

As part of our plan to encourage a wider range of swimmers, we are running further courses of swimming lessons in 2025.

Lessons will be held at the King Alfred Swimming Pool on Saturdays between 17.00 and 18.00 commencing Saturday 1st February 2025. The intake for lessons will be staggered during the months of February and March.

A dedicated lane will be reserved for the lessons which will have a designated Swimming Coach.

Lessons will be held for 4 to 6 swimmers (numbers subject to ability).

We would require each person who wishes to join lessons to be able to swim 50m (2 lengths) regardless of stroke, be comfortable out of your depth (i.e. swimming in the deep end) and be able to tread water.

The aim of the lessons is:

  • To provide individuals confidence in the water

  • To understand and learn the keystrokes including Freestyle (Front Crawl), Breaststroke, Backstroke and Butterfly

  • To qualify for lessons and achieve promotion to the main club swimming and the ability to join the mid-week swimming sessions

The cost for lessons will be:

  • Membership of Swim England for which the ASA swim fees must be paid which is currently £17.00 per annum.

  • Payment of the full membership direct debit which will be £51.45 per month in 2025.

If you’re interested in lessons for this course or for later courses coming up this year, please complete the form here.

A list of IGLA clubs is here.
