Bright and early on the morning after Pride London, triathletes from Out To Swim and Frontrunners (some are both!) raced once again at the Shock Absorber women's triathlon.
Air temperature at over 30C, and water temperature above 24C, all went into the water without a wetsuit. Erika unfortunately had 2 punctures due to tyres overheating, but that didn't stop her from coming 10th in her age group.
It was a mentally tough course of many laps, with the blazing sun directly overhead, there was no shade at all in the run leg. Luckily the 4 jets sprinklers were out and our enthusiastic cheering team brought super soakers.
