Follow London Orca
London Orca is the water polo team of Out To Swim. Competing year-round in both London and International leagues and tournaments, our squad welcomes everyone of all genders.
We have an active squad of 80 players and train four times a week and attendance ranges from 20 to 50 at each session. Our player coaches run the training sessions and provide qualified coaching and development support for anyone new to the game. At every training session we have players with a range of skills and experience, from first-timers learning the ropes to experienced players that compete at an international level.
Joining
Whether you are looking to play water polo for the first time, have experience under the belt, or are thinking of joining from a different Out To Swim discipline, we're really pleased to welcome new players.
If you have never played before you can find details of our Learn to Play program below. For players with experience, you will be invited to attend an assessment session so we can understand your current ability. From there we’ll be able to get you involved at the right level for you.
Whether you have played before or not. To help introduce you to what can seem like a bewildering game, we offer your first three water polo sessions free.
Trans and Non-Binary Taster Sessions
We periodically run taster sessions for trans and non-binary people. Keep an eye on on our socials for the next one - no experience necessary, just bring your swimwear and enthusiasm!
Learn to Play
We are one of the only clubs in London to offer a water polo beginners course for adults. New players are invited to join us for a 6-week course through which you’ll learn all the basics you need to jump in and play. From skills, drills, positions and rules our coaching team will take you on a crash course leading up to a final friendly match to put your hard work into practice. New players will also be invited to watch our current teams train and play so they can get a sense of how we work.
We typically host 2 courses a year for Learn to Play. If you are interested in joining in you can register your interest on the link below.
