The Paris Gay Games Synchro was held in the Maurice Thorens Aquatics Centre. Myself and Tali represented Out to Swim and the UK as soloists. The other countries represented included the US, France, Cuba, and Germany-about 80 individuals in total ranging in ages from 20 something to 74. It was held over 3 mornings on the Monday to Wednesday.
It was a friendly, jovial atmosphere amongst the competitors and well organised. The stand out performances for me were The Minnesota team, the Toulouse duo and the solo from Alexis of Cuba. Thanks to Tali’s mother, Steph from OTS, and Aaron & Padraic from Team Ireland who came to support us at the pool.
Tali got gold in her age group(18-29) and I got silver in mine(40-49).
