Orca A 7-15 Whitgift Trinity

One of the lesser known laws of the universe is that Orca will either start or end a game badly. Tonight it was the former, and after we finished the first quarter 0-5 down, I was worried about what was to come.

However, I needn’t have worried, because one of the better known laws of the universe is that Orca have a spirit that can’t be bettered or beaten, which is one of the many things I love about our club.

I am really proud of the way we learned from our mistakes, played to our strengths, and fought our way back into the game tonight. With a bit more accurate shooting and a more patient & smart approach to our man-ups, the score would’ve been much closer. Our defence was pretty solid in the second half, and we managed to push Whitgift further up the pool which helped create better opportunities, many of which we took advantage of.

Overall, a promising performance with positives to take into the next game.

Thanks to the table team, and well done to the guys in the pool - onwards and upwards!
