The Orcas are officially safe from relegation after their third win on the trot!
In the Monday night fixture, home-team, Otters 1869, gave in to an all-round superior London Orca, 5-10, after a hard-fought, but well-managed performance.
The Otters’ high-press initially forced us to play very distant from the goal, making it harder for us to find the way to goal.
Because of this, the first three quarters were very low-scoring, ending 0-2, 2-4 and 3-5 to the Orcas.
But in the last quarter, we finally broke down their defence, scoring 5 goals and bringing home the win.
An outstanding performance from Dídac in goal saved us many times and gave us the solidity and peace of mind in defence that we hadn’t had in the home game against Otter - lost 8-9.
With two games left to play, the Orcas are now equal on points with Otter for fifth place, with four wins in the last five games.
